Although it was not in the same elevated class as, say, the WallMart or Lord of the Rings episodes, the post-election episode was pretty funny and just the thing for my cynical mood.

I did wonder, were they so confidant that Obama would win that they made only the one? But, then the second time I saw it I realized that they had portions of Obama's speech in there, they did, right?

I don't get South Park. Literally, since we don't have cable, but also in the euphemistic sense. Yeah, there are some great scenes now and then but I suppose my basic position is that the occasional pony still doesn't justify all the horsesh*t.

They can do stuff amazingly fast. But I'm guessing they had two versions of most of it done prior to the election.
This is a personal problem. There are very few personal problems that cannot be solved through a suitable use of high explosives. This is not one of those exceptions.

They can apparently churn out an episode (from no script to finished product) in about a week. I bet it'd take less if they already had a script ready. But then, it woulnd't be the first time they did twice the work for the sake of a joke. They had a show called "That's My Gore" ready if Gore had won in 2000.

I finally caught up on the second half of this season, and I think the election one is actually one of the weakest. The pandemic episodes, elementary school musical episode, and breast cancer episode were all excellent, and the one mocking Twilight was pretty good.

See, I couldn't stand any of the new season. Even when they're not being preachy (about 3 minutes/episode, these days) they still seem unbearably full of themselves.
