ABOUT TIME, TOO

Britain is investigating the ultra-creepy Orangina commercial after a bunch of complaints:

Government intervention may never have been so warranted.

Re: ABOUT TIME, TOO

I thought the Orangina ad was very, very funny, but then again, consider the context in which I watched it: looking at something on YouTube when you're drunk is, I suppose, different from looking at something on the TV when you're sitting with your kids.

Hee hee hee hee hee. Ah, those crazy French ad companies.

Re: ABOUT TIME, TOO

I thought we already did this. I said it was kewl alternative sexuality and everybody else said I'm a sick pervert.

I'd like to hack that into the middle of one of the Sunday Evangelical broadcasts on the national feed.

Re: ABOUT TIME, TOO

"Investigating" the ad? Why is there an "Advertising Standards Agency"? Do we have something similar?

The ad doesn't make me want to drink the stuff, but fuck if that's a government decision.

And what children can afford that shit? The snackstealer is lucky to get Fanta sometimes. At least here in the US, I only see that stuff in the drinks cooler at faux snooty sandwich shops and Whole Foods. Any kid that gets disturbed by seeing a sexy ad for their favorite drink that's drinking Orangina probably already has regular appointments with a therapist who can work them through it.

I have to admit, though -- that deer is built like a brick hunter's blind.

"Orangina: anthropomorphization has never been so refreshing"

I think it's pretty entertaining. I wouldn't say it's "Sexy", but everyone has their own definition of that.

Re: ABOUT TIME, TOO

I just alerted the AFA to the furry agenda as seen in this video. I hope they respond.

Quote:
Claude Knights, director of children's charity Kidscape, said: "Orangina is a drink which is mainly aimed at children and young people, but this new advert places the product in a very sexualised and provocative context.
...
She said the charity were worried that it was another example of using sexual images to sell products to children.

And just what children's show was this racy advert place in?
Quote:
The Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) has received 147 complaints, after the commercial was first screened on August 1 on E4 during an episode of How to Look Good Naked.

Ohhh, that children's show.

Wankers.
