It is just the first few games after all, and the Royal aren't as bad at they been for the past 15 years or so. They actually have a few players, for now.

We haven't had a big offense in years; it's all be about pitching and defense. ...but now the pitching isn't showing up. Sure, Chris Young had a good outing last time around and I'll still put up Peavy against anybody. ...but you never know who's gonna show up when Wolfe's pitching, him or the evil force that sometimes possesses his body. And Germano! Don't get me started on Germano! Even Maddux is lookin' bad!

I don't understand how anyone can care about baseball. It's the most boring sport. I'd rather watch golf. Baseball is a great sport for newspaper, not bad for radio even, but how anyone can stand to watch a professional game is beyond me. Nothing happens and nothing happens and nothing happens, and even when something happens, nine times out of ten, it's still boring to watch.
