I've been kicking around the idea of switching my primary carry piece from a Springfield XD 9mm to a Smith M&P 9mm. It turns out that Smith is having a "Spring Spectacular" rebate deal until April 30, 2008. For the M&P pistols, you get $50 back from Smith, and two 17 round magazines valued at about $35 each.
So, for a net of $450, I wound up with a new Smith and 4 17 round magazines.
The same deal gets you $50 back on 1000 series shotguns, $75 back on I-Bolt rifles, $100 back on M&P15 AR15 rifles, and $100 back on a SW1911 if that's your thing. Since no human being I like should ever own a Sigma for any reason, I won't mention that it applies to those flaming POS's too.

The I-Bolt got a good review in the March Field and Stream.
I'm kind of loaded up on bolt-action rifles but anyone looking for a good one would be well advised to check it out.
