Who here is still involved in any kind of role-playing? I mean paper and dice (or the equivalent), not "OK, I'll be Donderoooooo, and you be a naive girl from Tijuana, trying to make it in the world, and the safe word is elephant."
I still play a game with several friends on a weekly basis, not D&D, but something we have been working on for a few years. It is the one solid uncancelable event of my week, and something I look forward to.

A D&D thread spawned out of nowhere some time back, but I'll cop to it. (Admittedly, I mostly like to make bizarre riffs on D&D fantasy premises or mix it with other premises, hence my fun with such things as "Spelljammer + Transhuman Space", "Paleolithic D&D in a world without fire", "D&D + Gamma World", etc. Most of my experience has been with the older WWGS games.)
I rarely get to play anything, lately, though; soon, I'm going to harass some friends into a game out of sheer annoyance.

I play D&D every weekend. I've dabbled with other systems: whitewolf, a custom d20 system for gun rules, but still pretty much get by with ol' reliable.
Whenever I catch so much as a glimpse of pr0n, I suddenly turn into a sex-crazed barbarian, slashing and clawing my way through whatever and whomever until I find something to put my weiner into. -- Taktix

I am currently in my first D&D game in years. There's a D&D thread somewhere in this forum.

I am, and I'm too damn old and set in my ways to care what people think about that (I'm lookin' at you, dhex!). ;)
Though getting me to play D&D is usually a bit more difficult than getting me to play almost any other game, ever.
A parasite feeding on bacteria growing on fungus growing on cow excrement? The only way the parasitic chain could get any longer would be if the cow excrement worked for the government.
